Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.39% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:59AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Sobha Ltd.(down 2.75 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.03 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent) and Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 1.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 1.39 per cent at 1110.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 14.6 points at 24598.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 14.29 points at 80702.26.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IRFC, Indian Renewable and IRB Infra Dev. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Just Dial, Krebs Biochem, MTNL, Umang Dairies and Quick Heal Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Regency Ceramic, Akme Fintrade(India, Shrenik, MEP Infrastructure and Praxis Home Retail hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
