Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.36%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 4.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 3.38 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 3.22 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.12 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 2.05 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 1.95 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.36 per cent down at 548.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 27.05 points at 18017.2, while the BSE Sensex stood down 80.63 points at 60352.82.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Bank of Baroda, SAIL and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., Lakshmi Finance, Williamson Magor, Kriti Ind and Universus Photo hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Patel Integrat(PP), Chaman Lal Setia, Strides Shasun, Vikas WSP and Priti International hit their fresh 52-week lows.
