Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.29%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 2.47 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.4 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(up 1.69 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises(down 5.06 per cent), DLF(down 3.11 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 3.08 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.22 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.35 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 97.9 points at 17718.35, while the BSE Sensex stood down 262.96 points at 59456.78.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 ended in the green, while 37 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Shree Ren Sug, Central Bank and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Airo Lam, Liberty Shoes, VIP Clothing, Swaraj Engines and Kirloskar Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ajooni Biotech Ltd., Veekayem Fashion & Apparels Ltd., Gayatri Project, Dynemic Product(PP)and Vaidya Sane Ayurved Laboratories Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
