Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.19%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Friday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.02 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 2.94 per cent), DLF(down 2.05 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.65 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.97 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.57 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.19 per cent down at 443.75.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 142.5 points at 17102.55, while the BSE Sensex stood down 460.19 points at 57060.87.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 ended in the green, while 38 closed in the red.

Shares of JP Power, TV18 Broadcast, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank and Adani Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Indo Amines, Beta Drugs, Shanthi Gears, Kritika Wires and Apcotex Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Camlin Fine Sc, Indiabulls Intgrtd, Future Consumer, Zee Learn and FutureLifestyleFash hit their fresh 52-week lows.
