Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.03% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:55AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Brigade Enterprises(up 1.61 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 1.41 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 3.44 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.29 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 1.78 per cent), DLF(down 1.58 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.45 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 1.03 per cent at 432.9 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 44.95 points at 16887.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 192.71 points at 56598.55.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Excel Ind, Rajnandini Metal, Consolidated Fin, Focus Lighting and Mahalaxmi Rub hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Repco Home Fin, Manappuram Finance, Rossari Biotech, Gayatri Project and Mallcom(India)hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
