Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.0%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.
Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 3.23 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.26 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 3.38 per cent), SOBHA(down 2.82 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.53 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.12 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.65 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.0 per cent down at 395.0.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 111.65 points at 16988.4, while the BSE Sensex stood down 360.95 points at 57628.95.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 ended in the green, while 37 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd., PNB and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Geekay Wires, Shrem InvIT, SP Refractories Ltd., Annapurna Swadisht Ltd. and Stampede Cap hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Rite Zone Chemcon India Ltd., MPS Infotecnics, Ganges Securities, Future Consumer and Loyal Textiles hit their fresh 52-week lows.
