Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.96%
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.96 per cent down at 759.7.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 2.28 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 0.24 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Swan Energy Ltd.(down 3.8 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 3.08 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.88 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.96 per cent down at 759.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 38.0 points at 21418.65, while the BSE Sensex stood down 168.66 points at 71315.09.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 31 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indian Renewable, Indian Railway Fin and HFCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of HOV Services, Times Guaranty, Aarvee Denims, Surana Telecom and Shree Rama News hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SS Infrastructure, Penta Gold, Raj Rayon, SEL Manufact and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
