Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.73%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.
Shares of Brigade Enterprises(up 2.63 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(up 0.89 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, DLF(down 2.15 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.03 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.97 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.9 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 0.74 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.73 per cent down at 513.35.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 70.55 points at 18755.45, while the BSE Sensex stood down 216.28 points at 63168.3.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 ended in the green, while 36 closed in the red.
Shares of Alok Industries, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, YES Bank and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Skipper Ltd, Crest Ventures, Rollatainers Ltd, HPL Electric Power and De Neers Tools hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Quality Foils(India, Supreme Engineering, Viaz Tyres, Sahana System and Rachana Infrastructu hit their fresh 52-week lows.
