Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.71%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Friday.
Shares of Swan Energy Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 1.45 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 0.82 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.14 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 4.35 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.73 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.63 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.71 per cent down at 767.05.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 273.95 points at 21456.65, while the BSE Sensex stood up 969.55 points at 71483.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 ended in the green, while 11 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, Infibeam Avenues and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Coral India Finance, Oriental Trimex, Ashima Ltd, JM Financial and Sreeleather hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vaxtex Cotfab, Raj Rayon, SEL Manufact, Winsome Yarns and Radiant Cash Manage hit their fresh 52-week lows.
