Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.69%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Oberoi Realty(up 1.66 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.76 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 3.65 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.12 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.73 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.67 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.56 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.69 per cent down at 476.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 66.3 points at 18003.75, while the BSE Sensex stood down 224.11 points at 60346.97.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 ended in the green, while 28 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd., Suzlon Energy and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Tata Investment, Aarvi Encon, TRF Ltd, Hindcon Chemicals and Bharat Gears hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Piramal Ent., Sportking India, Alembic Pharma, MEP Infrastructure and Sanofi India hit their fresh 52-week lows.
