Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.5% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:35AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.83 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.39 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 1.36 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.09 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.77 per cent) and DLF(down 0.61 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 0.5 per cent at 464.2 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 70.6 points at 18630.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 249.26 points at 62585.34.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of PNB, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Bank of India and UCO Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Ponni Sugars, Punjab Sind Bank, Bank of India, IDBI Bank and Ugar Sugar Work hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Amiable Logistic(India)Ltd., Ameya Precision Engineers Ltd., Dhanuka Realty, Nureca Ltd. and Nakoda Group Of Ind hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
