Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.47% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:26AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.86 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.46 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.61 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.18 per cent) and SOBHA(up 0.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.

DLF(down 1.47 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.16 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 0.92 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.9 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 0.47 per cent at 432.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 1.35 points at 17620.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 53.14 points at 59620.94.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, NMDC Steel Ltd., Alok Industries, Lemon Tree Hotels and Rail Vikas Nigam were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of TECIL Chemicals & Hydro Power Ltd., SML Isuzu, Kirloskar Elec, Kamat Hotels and Shera Energy Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while BEML Land Assets, Optiemus Infra, India Glycols, Marico and Vikas Multicorp hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
