Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.45% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:04AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 3.81 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 0.51 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 0.38 per cent), SOBHA(up 0.37 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 4.13 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.93 per cent), DLF(down 0.6 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.14 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 0.45 per cent at 518.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 18.65 points at 18697.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 109.91 points at 63033.25.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Brightcom Group and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of GKW Ltd, Ducol Organics & Col, Signet Ind, Uma Exports and Suryoday Small Finan hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while D P Abhushan, Sahana System, Rachana Infrastructu, Infollion Research and Sintex Plastics Tech hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
