Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.43%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.
Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 3.15 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 0.68 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.27 per cent) and DLF(up 0.2 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty(down 4.75 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.1 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.97 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.97 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.43 per cent down at 418.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 126.1 points at 17311.8, while the BSE Sensex stood up 491.01 points at 58410.98.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 ended in the green, while 16 closed in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., IDFC First Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Electronics Mart India Ltd., Maks Energy Solutions India Ltd., Jay Jalaram Technologies Ltd., Atlanta Ltd and Annapurna Swadisht Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Omkar Speciality, Debock Sales & Mktg, Kandarp Digi Smart BPO Ltd., OrissaBengalCarrier and Setco Automotive hit their fresh 52-week lows.
