Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.43%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.
Shares of Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 2.98 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.38 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 0.35 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.12 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 3.47 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 3.44 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 2.03 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.96 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.43 per cent down at 1114.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 3.3 points at 24320.55, while the BSE Sensex stood down 36.22 points at 79960.38.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, Rail Vikas Nigam and Indian Renewable were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Alphageo , Shreyans Ind, Kriti Nutrients, Rail Vikas Nigam and Rashtriya Chemicals hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while CMI Ltd, Brightcom Group, Filatex Fashions, Sarthak Metals and Praxis Home Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows.
