Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.39% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.47 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(up 0.69 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.19 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.49 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.8 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.39 per cent at 826.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 48.96 points at 21768.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 135.4 points at 71876.65.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Steel, NHPC and Jio Financial Servic were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Nagreeka Export, Cubex Tubings, D P Abhushan, Sapphire Foods and Popular Vehicles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vaxtex Cotfab, N K Industries, Bohra Industries, SCI Land and Assets and Nagreeka Capital hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
