Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.37% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:23AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.33 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.2 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.12 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 0.6 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.37 per cent at 1075.1 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 6.4 points at 25050.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 22.86 points at 81797.26.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Suzlon Energy, Ambuja Cements and Bank of Maharashtra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of IFB Industries, Stylam Ind, Rallis India, Nitco and Nalwa Sons Invst hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while MEP Infrastructure, Akshar Spintex, Kamdhenu Ventures, Dhanvarsha Finvest and Vinny Overseas hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
