Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.34%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Monday.
Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 2.41 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.76 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 4.45 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.7 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.34 per cent down at 610.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 19.3 points at 19731.75, while the BSE Sensex stood down 115.81 points at 66166.93.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Easy Trip Planners, MMTC, Reliance Power and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Tantia Const, STC India, Jindal Photo, FACT and Prakash Pipes hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Delta Corp, Gangotri Text, SS Infrastructure, Suumaya Lifestyle and SEL Manufact hit their fresh 52-week lows.
