Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.3%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Oberoi Realty(up 1.61 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.3 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(up 0.26 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.52 per cent), DLF(down 0.78 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.75 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.44 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.27 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.3 per cent down at 445.3.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 162.4 points at 17038.4, while the BSE Sensex stood down 537.22 points at 56819.39.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 ended in the green, while 40 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, YES Bank, Adani Power and TV18 Broadcast were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Omaxe, Bombay Metrics Supply Chain Ltd., Agro Phos India, IIFL Finance and Bombay Dyeing hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Future Consumer, Indiabulls Intgrtd, Asian Granito, Karda Const and Uma Exports Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
