Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.27%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.

Shares of Brigade Enterprises(up 2.96 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.42 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 1.8 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.92 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.55 per cent), DLF(down 0.37 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 0.35 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 0.27 per cent down at 417.05.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 8.9 points at 17007.4, while the BSE Sensex stood down 37.7 points at 57107.52.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Tata Steel, Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd. and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Ameya Precision Engineers Ltd., Liberty Shoes, Shree Tirupati Balaj, Salasar Exteriors and M K Proteins hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gayatri Project, Dhampur Bio Organics Ltd., Debock Sales & Mktg, Viviana Power Tech Ltd. and Mercator hit their fresh 52-week lows.
