Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.2%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.
Shares of Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.9 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.0 per cent) and Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 0.38 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 5.02 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 3.9 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.5 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.23 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.2 per cent down at 1096.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 13.95 points at 25796.9, while the BSE Sensex stood down 33.49 points at 84266.29.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 ended in the green, while 29 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Shree Ren Sug, PNB and NALCO were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Lakshmi Finance, Jay Shree Tea, DCW Ltd, Zee Media Corp and IIFL Securities hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while MEP Infrastructure, Rossell India, Revathi Equipment In, Filatex Fashions and SecUR Credentials hit their fresh 52-week lows.
