Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.13%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Thursday.
Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 1.45 per cent), DLF(up 0.84 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.8 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.52 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 2.02 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.49 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.38 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 0.76 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.13 per cent down at 426.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 51.7 points at 17563.95, while the BSE Sensex stood up 95.71 points at 59202.9.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 ended in the green, while 14 closed in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, PNB, JP Power, Vodafone Idea and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of DC Infotech, HPL Electric Power, Tracxn Technologies Ltd., Mazda Ltd and Jindal Poly Investm hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Atal Realtech, Policy Bazaar, JohnsonCtrls Hitachi, Ishan International Ltd. and Vikas Proppant & Gr hit their fresh 52-week lows.
