Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.09%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Thursday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.04 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 0.6 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 0.21 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.07 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty(down 0.96 per cent), SOBHA(down 0.65 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.5 per cent), Sunteck Realty(down 0.46 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.34 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.09 per cent down at 430.55.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 57.5 points at 18107.85, while the BSE Sensex stood down 187.31 points at 60858.43.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 31 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, PNB and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Mold Tek Tech, Hisar Metal Ind, Chembond Chem, GRP Ltd and Atul Auto hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Nureca Ltd., GTPL Hathway, Vikas Proppant & Gr, Anlon Technology Solutions Ltd. and Chaman Metallics Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
