Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.06% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.61 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.88 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 0.55 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 1.14 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.5 per cent), DLF(down 0.42 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.36 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was down 0.06 per cent at 423.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 125.65 points at 16968.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 465.81 points at 56961.11.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea, ONGC, PNB and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Oriental Hotels, Upsurge Seeds of Agriculture Ltd., Shivalik Bimetal, Cochin Shipyard and Chalet Hotels hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Quadpro ITeS Ltd., Ansal Housing, Akshar Spintex, Globe Textiles(Ind and Proseed India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
