Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.01%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 8.64 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.78 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.49 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 0.27 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 0.92 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.55 per cent), DLF(down 0.5 per cent), SOBHA(down 0.28 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.27 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.01 per cent down at 461.55.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 62.6 points at 18285.4, while the BSE Sensex stood down 208.01 points at 61773.78.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea, Zomato and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of BEW Engineering, Dynamic Cables, Schneider, Arham Technologies and Deep Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SITI Networks, Jakharia Fabric, Auro Impex & Chemic, Salasar Exteriors and Vikas Multicorp hit their fresh 52-week lows.
