Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.01% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.
Phoenix Mills(up 2.35 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 1.36 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 0.9 per cent) and DLF(up 0.88 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Indiabulls Real Estate(down 2.7 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 2.49 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.29 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.97 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.01 per cent at 391.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 66.45 points at 16173.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 253.05 points at 54111.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd., Adani Power, YES Bank and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Silver Touch Tech, Lexus Granito(India), Avro India, Le Merite Exports Ltd. and Vaxtex Cotfab hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Dishman Carbogen, Man Industries, Welspun India, Birla Tyres and Future Supply Chain hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
