Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 4.21%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.

Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 9.68 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 7.17 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 5.77 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 3.67 per cent) and DLF(up 3.4 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.2 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 4.21 per cent up at 401.05.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 456.75 points at 16266.15, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1534.16 points at 54326.39.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 48 ended in the green, while 2 closed in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Ashok Leyland and Zomato Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Welspun Corp, Nava Bharat Vent., Grauer & Weil, Priti International and KSB hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Prudent Corporate Advisory Services Ltd., Concor, Future Retail, Birla Tyres and Sonu Infratech Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
