Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 3.25%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of DLF(up 5.1 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 4.4 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 3.64 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 3.6 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.57 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Phoenix Mills(down 0.69 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 3.25 per cent up at 406.45.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 150.3 points at 16013.45, while the BSE Sensex stood up 581.34 points at 53424.09.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 ended in the green, while 12 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ONGC, Bank of Baroda and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Mawana Sugars, Kennametal India, Future Enterprises (DVR), Dwarikesh Sugar and Bombay Metrics Supply Chain Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Wockhardt, JK Cement, Shri Ram Switchgears, Akash Infra-Proj and McNally Bharat hit their fresh 52-week lows.
