Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 3.08%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 4.73 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 4.51 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 3.99 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 2.61 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.31 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 3.08 per cent up at 587.5.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 107.75 points at 19653.5, while the BSE Sensex stood up 364.06 points at 65995.63.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 ended in the green, while 9 closed in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Infibeam Avenues, YES Bank, Ujjivan SFB and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Godrej Ind., Mindteck India, PNB Gilts, Rajshree Polypack and Pioneer Embroid hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Baid Leasing, Steel Exchange, ideaForge Technology, Shree Ram Proteins and Winsome Yarns hit their fresh 52-week lows.
