Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.91%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.

Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 7.81 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 4.28 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 3.73 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 3.55 per cent) and Raymond Ltd.(up 2.9 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 2.91 per cent up at 888.0.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 205.85 points at 23163.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 631.55 points at 76532.96.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 ended in the green, while 10 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, Inox Wind Ltd. and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Blue Jet Healthcare, Tera Software, Blue Coast Hotel, Navkar Builders and Madhya Bharat Agro hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Baazar Style Retail, Karda Const, Power Mech Proj, Baid Leasing and Noida Toll Bridge Co hit their fresh 52-week lows.
