Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.54%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.

Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 6.43 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(up 4.8 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 4.42 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 3.98 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(up 3.1 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 0.09 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 2.54 per cent up at 643.75.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 97.35 points at 19230.6, while the BSE Sensex stood up 282.88 points at 64363.78.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Zomato, YES Bank and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Hind Rectifiers, Industrial Invst, Tilaknagar Ind, Intense Tech and JP Power hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Avro India, Shree Ram Proteins, Yasho Industries, Aegis Logistics and Winsome Yarns hit their fresh 52-week lows.
