Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.46% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:29AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

DLF Ltd.(up 4.6 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 3.35 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 2.21 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.75 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Swan Energy Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Realty index was up 2.46 per cent at 887.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 70.6 points at 22000.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 203.21 points at 72389.3.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, IOB, Vodafone Idea, NHPC and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of TRF Ltd, W S Industries, Balaji Telef, Patel Integrat and Sakthi Sugars hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Navin Fluorine, Latteys Industries, GIR Natureview, 3rd Rock MultiMedia and Stampede Cap(DVR)hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
