Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.32%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.
Shares of Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 3.59 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 3.34 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 3.1 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 2.81 per cent) and Raymond Ltd.(up 2.48 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.32 per cent up at 827.55.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 254.65 points at 22337.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 740.3 points at 73730.23.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 ended in the green, while 5 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Tata Steel and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Avanti Feeds, Reliance Naval & Engg, Bohra Industries, Gujarat Themis and Norben Tea Exp hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gensol Engg, MEP Infrastructure, Ansal Prop, Capital Infra Trust and AGS Transact Tech hit their fresh 52-week lows.
