Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.17%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 7.23 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 3.25 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 3.12 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 2.5 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 2.2 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Raymond Ltd.(down 0.92 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.4 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.17 per cent up at 862.9.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 128.1 points at 22957.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 535.24 points at 75901.41.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, IDFC First Bank and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Reliance Naval & Engg, Navkar Builders, Blue Coast Hotel, Tera Software and United Polyfab Gujar hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while InfoBeans Tech, Punjab Chemical, Shanti Overseas, Signet Ind and Compucom Software hit their fresh 52-week lows.
