Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.12%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 10.89 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 3.52 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 2.43 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 2.4 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd.(down 2.31 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.12 per cent up at 591.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 92.9 points at 19819.95, while the BSE Sensex stood up 333.35 points at 66598.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Indian Railway Fin, Reliance Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of IndiaPowerCorp, Bombay Burmah, Trans & Rectif, Emmbi Industries and Power Finance Corp. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Sandur Manganese, Brookfield India Rea, Parin Furniture and Mohini Health & Hygi hit their fresh 52-week lows.
