Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.84%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.
Shares of Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 4.12 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 3.78 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 1.96 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.8 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Swan Energy Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.26 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.09 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.84 per cent up at 882.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 1.1 points at 21930.5, while the BSE Sensex stood down 34.09 points at 72152.0.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, IOB, UCO Bank and RattanIndia Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Zaggle Prepaid Ocean, Mittal Life Style, Automotive Stamp, TRF Ltd and W S Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Navin Fluorine, Latteys Industries, Astec Lifesc, Stampede Cap(DVR)and Bannari Amman hit their fresh 52-week lows.
