Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.82%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 5.96 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 4.08 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 3.56 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.8 per cent) and DLF(up 2.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Godrej Properties(down 1.02 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.82 per cent up at 470.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 128.85 points at 17277.95, while the BSE Sensex stood up 366.64 points at 57858.15.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 ended in the green, while 14 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Suzlon Energy, Zomato Ltd. and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Sharda Cropchem, Pressman Advertisin, Fineotex Chem, Global Education and ABB Power hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while IndiaMART, DC Infotech, CarTrade Tech, Hind Nat Glass and FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)hit their fresh 52-week lows.
