Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.81%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 5.87 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 3.25 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 3.08 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.75 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(up 1.44 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises(down 0.37 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.81 per cent up at 448.85.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 27.45 points at 17604.95, while the BSE Sensex stood up 54.13 points at 59085.43.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 ended in the green, while 21 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Zomato Ltd., RBL Bank and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Medicamen Bio, Mahalaxmi Rub, Vinyl Chemicals, Anik Industries and Commercial Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Veekayem Fashion & Apparels Ltd., IMP Powers Ltd, GVK Power Infra, Future Enterprises and Sanofi India hit their fresh 52-week lows.
