Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.73%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.
Shares of DLF Ltd.(up 3.32 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 3.07 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 2.77 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 2.66 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.47 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.4 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.73 per cent up at 1053.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 32.41 points at 25356.5, while the BSE Sensex stood down 71.77 points at 82890.94.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 ended in the green, while 30 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Zomato and IDBI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of TBZ, Sundaram-Clayton, Biofil Chem, Oswal Green Tech and Renaissance Global hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Stampede Cap(DVR), PowerGrid Infa InvIT, GIR Natureview, BDR Buildcon and IndInfravit Trust hit their fresh 52-week lows.
