Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.63%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.

Shares of Anant Raj Ltd.(up 8.56 per cent), Raymond Ltd.(up 5.0 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 4.09 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 2.61 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.63 per cent up at 912.55.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 42.3 points at 25019.8, while the BSE Sensex stood down 200.15 points at 82330.59.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bharti Airtel, IRFC and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Paras Defence, Stampede Cap(DVR), Mazagon Dock Ship, Kanpur Plastip and Wanbury Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Wendt India, Career Point, BDR Buildcon, IndInfravit Trust and Ginni Filaments hit their fresh 52-week lows.
