Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.59%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.
Shares of Brigade Enterprises(up 4.27 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 2.63 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.47 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 1.98 per cent) and DLF(up 1.77 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.71 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.59 per cent up at 457.2.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 194.0 points at 17816.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 578.51 points at 59719.74.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 ended in the green, while 6 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, PNB, Zomato Ltd., Shree Ren Sug and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Macpower CNC Machine, Upsurge Seeds of Agriculture Ltd., D P Wires, Lancer Container Lin and McLeod Russel hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Dynemic Product(PP), Debock Sales & Mktg, MEP Infrastructure, Sathavahana Isp and FutureLifestyleFash hit their fresh 52-week lows.
