Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.45%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.

Shares of Phoenix Mills(up 2.18 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.85 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.78 per cent), DLF(up 1.71 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.63 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises(down 0.51 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.45 per cent up at 452.45.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 52.3 points at 18660.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 144.61 points at 62677.91.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 ended in the green, while 16 closed in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, UCO Bank, Suzlon Energy and Bank of Maharashtra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Palash Securities, Andrew Yule, Dynamic Cables, UCO Bank and GIC Housing Fin hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Cerebra Integrat, Ishan International Ltd., Ameya Precision Engineers Ltd., Ortel Communications and Sintex Inds. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
