Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.42%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects(up 6.56 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 4.15 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.5 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.91 per cent) and DLF(up 1.22 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 0.48 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.2 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.42 per cent up at 554.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 4.8 points at 19347.45, while the BSE Sensex stood up 11.43 points at 65087.25.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 ended in the green, while 21 closed in the red.
Shares of Reliance Power, Zomato, Vodafone Idea, JP Power and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Shakti Pumps, Pritika Engineering, Gokaldas Export, Ameya Precision Engi and Tourism Finance hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while BKM Industries, Penta Gold, Proventus Agrocom, Steel Exchange and Shrenik hit their fresh 52-week lows.
