Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.41%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.

Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 4.28 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 3.16 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.41 per cent up at 871.5.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 289.16 points at 24328.5, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1005.84 points at 80218.37.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 ended in the green, while 11 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, RBL Bank, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Country Condos, Manorama Ind, Paradeep Phosphates, Rajvir Ind and Reliance Naval & Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ind-Swift Labs, GI Engineering, Eros Media, Varanium Cloud and Gensol Engg hit their fresh 52-week lows.
