Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.39%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.
Shares of Sobha Ltd.(up 3.01 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.3 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.07 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.85 per cent) and Anant Raj Ltd.(up 1.82 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.71 per cent) and Raymond Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.39 per cent up at 976.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 67.55 points at 25082.3, while the BSE Sensex stood down 247.01 points at 82253.46.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 ended in the green, while 28 closed in the red.
Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, RattanIndia Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of JP Power, Anand Rathi Wealth, Soma Textiles, Faze Three Ltd and Allied Blenders hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SKIL Infrastructure, Picturepost Studios, Marshall Machines, Capital Trust and Magnum Ventures hit their fresh 52-week lows.
