Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.39% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 09:59AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Raymond Ltd.(up 7.15 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 2.56 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 2.15 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.86 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 1.55 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.39 per cent at 876.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 46.55 points at 24172.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 205.14 points at 79613.64.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, RBL Bank, Alok Industries, Suzlon Energy and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of NACL Industries, Shree Vasu Logistics, Krishna Instt of Medical Sciences, InterGlobe and Oswal Agro Mill hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while AGS Transact Tech, Gensol Engg, MT Educare, Sai Silks(Kalamandir)and Marshall Machines hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
