Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.36%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.

Shares of Godrej Properties(up 2.97 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.86 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.73 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 1.64 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 1.41 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises(down 1.42 per cent) and Sunteck Realty(down 0.41 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.36 per cent up at 414.8.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 36.95 points at 17856.5, while the BSE Sensex stood down 123.52 points at 60682.7.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 25 closed in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, Vodafone Idea and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of BF Investment, Mold Tek Tech, Geekay Wires, Uniphos Enter and SKM Egg Prod hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mangalam Global Ent, Megasoft, Reliance Chemo, Lux Ind. and Everest Kanto hit their fresh 52-week lows.
