Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.33%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.
Shares of Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 3.53 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 3.0 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 1.68 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.27 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Swan Energy Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.14 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.33 per cent up at 950.25.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 152.6 points at 22666.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 494.28 points at 74742.5.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 ended in the green, while 13 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IRB Infra Dev., IDFC First Bank and Exide Inds. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Arvee Laboratories, Abans Holdings, Sundaram Finance, Archidply Ind and Ind Swift Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Gopal Snacks, Bata India, Dabur India and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
