Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.32%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.
Shares of Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 4.57 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 3.32 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 3.17 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 2.9 per cent) and Oberoi Realty Ltd.(up 0.52 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.32 per cent up at 1083.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 30.96 points at 23259.2, while the BSE Sensex stood down 203.28 points at 76490.08.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 ended in the green, while 20 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IRB Infra Dev., Tata Steel and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Zenith Exports, Likhitha Infra, Gufic BioSci, Emkay Global and Premier Exp hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Neueon Towers, Bohra Industries, Borosil Scientific, Compuage Infocom and Kaya hit their fresh 52-week lows.
