Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.3%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Wednesday.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 3.58 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 2.5 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 2.27 per cent), DLF(up 1.99 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 1.02 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, SOBHA(down 0.24 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(down 0.18 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.


The Nifty Realty index closed 1.3 per cent up at 405.55.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 86.0 points at 18015.85, while the BSE Sensex stood up 242.83 points at 61275.09.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 14 closed in the red.

Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., Brightcom Group, YES Bank, Zomato Ltd. and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Blue Chip India, Finolex Cables, Zen Tech, Vera Synthetic and Soma Textiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ester Ind, Kitex Garments, Ginni Filaments, Suumaya Lifestyle and Libas Designs hit their fresh 52-week lows.
